Rotary Clubs have a long history of supporting children, so with March marking Easter Seals Awareness Month and the launch of their annual campaign, it was fitting to welcome fellow Rotarian Todd Colbourne of the Rotary Club of Cataraqui‑Kingston as our guest speaker.
On Wednesday, February 11, the Rotary Club of the 1000 Islands heard a presentation on Easter Seals Ontario. Todd was joined virtually by Rotarian Linda Clouthier, Community Engagement Officer for the South Eastern Region. Together, they spoke about children with physical disabilities and the ways Easter Seals supports families through essential equipment and accessible camp experiences.
To thank Todd for his presentation, Rotarian Tim Ross presented him with the book "Relatives With Roots", which will be donated to Pineview Public School in honour of both Tim and Linda.
